I have been sitting on this mashua variety for a few years because it was infected with a Potyvirus. It is now clean of that, but I will still need another year to test it comprehensively and make sure it is clean all around. It is a very nice looking variety, but otherwise very similar to Puca Añu. I’ve been calling it Candy Cane since I haven’t found a variety that looks like this in any of the germplasm databases to get an original name.
