Oca pollinators

I’m going to add pictures of insects that I catch pollinating oca to this thread. If you spot any interesting pollinator activity, please join in.

Here is a fly that I see pretty frequently in oca flowers:

This little bee is one of our best early season pollinators of oca. Some mornings, there will be at least one on every plant. Not sure of the ID; possibly Panurginus sp.

Hoverflies are another good oca pollinator, although they don’t seem to be as active in cooler weather.

I am going to have to take more attention to the bugs I find on my oca flowers this coming summer, I didn’t notice any last season…
