Yacon Tea

Does anyone know how to make tea from yacon leaves?
How to dry the leaves and also how much of the leaf to make a mug of tea?

Welcome to the forum, Sam. I have seen pictures of yacon leaves being dried for processing and it appears to be just an air drying process. A few leaves are bundled into sheaves and the sheaves are hung in sheds. I imagine that a food dehydrator would work just fine for small batches.

Packaged teas that contain only yacon leaf run about 3 grams per cup. Whether that is an amount that contains a sufficient active ingredient to achieve a certain purpose is anybody’s guess.

Be careful. A couple of studies have reported kidney damage in rats given yacon leaf extracts. Here is one:
