I’m fascinated by Jerusalem artichoke internodes. These two seedlings are the same age and have the same number of leaves. One has almost no internode space (the span of stem between two sets of leaves), while the other has gaps of several inches. If this continues, one plant will obviously be quite short, while the other will be tall.
